How to keep your creative juice flowing and write consistently

by

We hear this every day, ” To be a prominent writer you have to write regularly.”

As a matter of fact, as I was writing this post I could almost see a picture of a teacher standing over me, saying, “You have to write consistently to be a prolific writer.”

But writing consistently is an issue. It’s not easy to write.

There is a term that’s is commonly used among writers, and that is, “creative juice.”

For you to write consistently, you have to keep your creative juice flowing.

FEAR KILLS YOUR CREATIVE JUICE

Writing is tough! Sometimes when you put your hands to write you find out ideas are not coming.

This could also be made worse when you begin to compare yourself to successful writers.

And sometimes, it could be the fear of wondering if your writing will be good enough. However, there’s no way to find out until you begin to write.

WHAT’S THE SOLUTION

At this point, I reckon you may be wondering if you’re the only one having these issues.

Fortunately or unfortunately, you aren’t.

There are many with the zeal to write, who have not been able to produce one article.

And they are also wondering like you, how to write and keep it consistent.

The answer may not be far fetched. Perhaps you have not identified when your creative juice flows.

Even the great book, says there is a time for everything.

A time to sleep

A time to work

A time to build

A time to throw out.

Permit me at this point to add mine: A time to get your creative juice flowing to produce the best content ever.

When is your best time for writing?

Is it in the morning, afternoon or evening?

Is it when you are watching a movie, taking a walk in the wood and you are basking in the songs of the birds and trees all around you.

What inspires you to write? Everyone needs an inspiration to drive a purpose.

What is your inspiration?

Everyone is looking for original, thought-provoking content to read.

These are content that flows from the depth of the spirit of a man.

Unfortunately, they are not easy to come by these days.

It can only take a man that can harness his creative strength to produce such content.

Taking a hypothetical example of myself

My creative juice flows best in the early hours of the morning. When most people are deep in slumber.

A time you hear no one else but your aggressive taps on your keyboard.

It’s at this time you feel you are being dictated to, to write.

I don’t know if you can relate to what I’m saying.

I love to strike this way before my willpower wavers. The morning time is when I have the greatest strength and clarity to write. It’s time I cherish before I jump on my to-do list.

Have you had this experience?

I have found it extremely difficult to recreate such stimulating moments during the day. No matter how hard I tried.

I am a mother, wife, a blogger and an online entrepreneur, who has a full list of what to do during the day.

Once I get out of bed and switch to these roles, it’s almost impossible for me to sit down and write creatively.

Attempting to write at this time is a great struggle for me because my mind is heavily occupied with my goals for the days.

And this has opened my eyes to the realisation that there is a time you are at your top form to write.

Many struggling writers have failed to recognise this simple factors that could result in them churning out quality content after content.

Seriously speaking, take some time away from your busy schedule to find out the perfect time for you to write.

Bottom line

knowing the best time of the day to write is critical to keeping your creative juice flowing and writing consistently. This is by no means the only way to write consistently. Of course, there are several other ways, which I’ll be writing on soon. To keep you in the loop, please sign up for updates below.
