But first, let me tell you my experience with a friend on this issue.

It was a sunny day, and I was taking a ride with my friend. We were driving past the seaside when I thought it was a good time to tell her my business plans.

” I have plans to go into blogging,” I carefully said to her.

She just stared at me with her mouth opened, not uttering a word. Looking straight into her eyes, I clearly saw a confirmation of what I thought her feelings concerning the subject would be.

After what seemed like eternity, she asked in utter disbelief.

“Are you really planning to go into blogging? And you think you can make money from it?”

I replied in a calm voice, “certainly!”

Most often, this is the kind of reaction most bloggers get when they tell people they want to go into blogging, because blogging is often judged as a waste of time

As far as they are concerned the time could have been spent on something more likely to be successful.

Blogging is a complete career path, that ultimately leads to full time income for the bloggers that know what they are doing.

Some people go into blogging as a hobby, while others do it to make money. The minute you start a blog to make money, you become an entrepreneur, because your blog becomes your  business.

Like every other business, it requires: planning, organising, and setup. Since blogging is a business you have to painstaking carry out the task involved for it to be successful: from getting a domain name, hosting your site, choosing a good SEO theme, writing contents, to marketing the blog.

#1. Coaching

let’s face it, people inevitably face challenges every day, and consequently, look for blogs that offer advice and benefits to them. This is how you can make money as a blogger – package the solution and sell it to them for a fee on your blog.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been blogging, you can become a successful coach and make money as long as you have a good knowledge of  your niche.  Unfortunately most bloggers may not want to toll this line because they are skeptical about what they are capable of delivering.

I can almost imagine their thoughts right now, “What do I know? What do I coach?”

My advice to them is to conquer their fears by starting from what they know. If after this, they are still struggling with what to offer, studying to gain more depth in their niche may not be a bad idea.

Most assuredly, you will be able to figure out what feels right for you if you do same.

I use to have an erroneous believe about coaching, and that is, it’s the exclusive right of the influencer bloggers to make money from it. I quickly discovered it wasn’t true when I came across people that were willing to pay me for what I know in blogging.

I bet you, there is somebody out there that is cheering you, and sees you as mentor. This person will most willingly buy your coaching service if you offer it.

Don’t demean yourself with thoughts of impossibilities. Remember the old saying, “you never know what you can accomplish until you try.”

Areas bloggers offer coaching services to make make money from blogging  are simply in exhaustive. No matter the industry you’re blogging in, you can offer a coaching service.

Some areas you can offer coaching services are:  blogging, accounting, marketing, social media, traffic generation, SEO, content writing, sewing, cooking, time management, productivity, interior decor, psychology, physiotherapy, etc.

Your responsibility as a coach is to help your prospects where they are weak; help them to improve; set attainable goals; overcome challenges; avoid risk and motivate them to success.

Coaching will always work because people are ever looking to learn new skills, however, you have to be trust worthy to enjoy patronage.

To become a successful coach

1.You’ll have to prove yourself as an expert in your field by creating regular and authoritative contents.

2. Teaching proven ways to get your readers to take action and get results. In other words, teach them actionable steps in your blog that’ll bring solutions to their questions.

3. Helping your prospect generate new businesses and make money.

4. In addition, by offering guest posting, collaborating with other bloggers, and creating webinar (this is another great way of making money).

This way, you’re creating confidence in your prospects by the solution you proffer. Which will not only build their trust in you, but also prepare them to accept any coaching service you eventually offer to them.

Are you still in doubt as to what to create for your audience? You could ask them. Do this by sending survey on “how best to meet their needs to your email subscribers.

if you have not started building an email list, I’d suggest you start immediately using convertkit for your email collection.

There are a number or products you can create. For example, ebook, member ship sites, home study course, video course, or coaching programs as discussed above. You can make thousand of dollars from a course you created.

Another point to note, is to find someone to collaborate with if the thought of creating a product feels a bit daunting to you.

When you register as an affiliate to sell a product, a link with a tracking code will be given to you. To get sales through this link, you can create content on your blog specific to the product and embed the link in the content, or simple place the link in your social media to get sales.
